This work focuses on family counseling and its importance in the sensory-perceptual stimulation process in three-year-old children from the Llano Grande neighborhood. Family orientation is that process of help that has the purpose of improving the educational function of families, favoring all its members. The proposed objective is to propose a family counseling strategy to stimulate sensory-perceptual development in three-year-old children; the specific objectives are consistent with the general objective. The methodology used presents a mixed approach that is characterized by a process of collection, analysis and linking of both quantitative and qualitative data to give answers to the problem statement, it presents a sequential and descriptive exploratory design; The empirical methods used are the survey, the focus group interview is carried out with 5 parents, the observation guide applied to five 3-year-old children allowed us to know the weaknesses of parents and children, so that a family orientation strategy arises as a response which is based on the “Zone of Proximate Development”, starting from the current level to the level at which it is desired to reach with the role of the family
