dc.description.abstractEn Ecuador la seguridad social se creó con la promulgación de la Caja de Pensiones en el año 1928, la Ley de Seguridad apareció unos años después y con la publicación de la nueva Constitución en 2008 se buscó una intervención para ampliar la cobertura de este derecho. Aquel es reconocido por Instrumentos y Organizaciones Internacionales, es así que La Organización Internacional del Trabajo conceptualiza a la seguridad social como un derecho humano que aborda la necesidad general de proteger la vida contra ciertos riesgos y necesidades sociales. Por añadidura, de este derecho, se desprenden varios principios con el objetivo de garantizar el cumplimiento efectivo y correcto del Seguro General Obligatorio. Este tipo de seguro obtienen los trabajadores afiliados al Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social. El IESS es la primera institución responsable para proteger a aquellas personas de enfermedades, maternidad, riesgos de trabajo, vejez, muerte, e invalidez, que incluye discapacidad y cesantía. De modo que, en este ensayo se desarrollará un análisis sobre la protección que reciben los trabajadores ecuatorianos al lado de la cobertura y evidenciar sobre el cumplimiento de las normativas y la responsabilidad que tiene el Estado con los trabajadores en materia de seguridad social.es
dc.description.abstractIn Ecuador, social security was created with the promulgation of the Pension Fund in 1928, the Security Law appeared a few years later and with the publication of the new constitution in 2008, an intervention was sought to expand the coverage of this right. That is recognized by International Instruments and Organizations, so the International Labor Organization defines social security as a human right that addresses the general need to protect life against certain risks and social needs. In addition, several principles emerge from this right with the aim of guaranteeing effective and correct compliance with Mandatory General Insurance. This type of insurance is obtained by workers affiliated with the Ecuadorian Social Security Institute. The IESS is the first institution responsible for protecting people from illness, maternity, work risks, old age, death, and disability, which includes disability and unemployment. So this essay will develop an analysis of the protection that Ecuadorian workers receive in addition to coverage and demonstrate compliance with regulations and the responsibility that the State has with workers in terms of social security.en_US
