    This research work was carried out with the aim of contributing with a planning of brain gymnastics activities for the development of intelligence in 5-year-old children who study at the Private Educational Unit "Comandante Rafael Moran Valverde", educational institution located in the north of the capital of Ecuador. The proposal was made taking into account the need to provide information and implement an innovative method that contains playful and comprehensive activities that allow the stimulation of children's brain functions such as: memory, creativity, language, attention and also reduce problems and school difficulties. The first chapter is contained by theoretical inquiries regarding the issue raised, reference is made to the educational process in early childhood education, its methodological approach and the legal bases of the level, in addition, an approach based mainly on the development of intelligence and brain gymnastics is given, demonstrating its relevance within the teaching-learning process. In the second chapter, the diagnosis is made through empirical methods with the use of evaluation instruments such as: surveys and observation guide, which allowed to characterize the current state of the educational process of 5-year-old children regarding brain gymnastics and the development of intelligence, determining the need to implement a planning of activities to solve the problem detected. Therefore, in the third chapter, it is proposed to develop a system of brain gymnastics activities for the intellectual development in 5-year-old children at “Comandante Rafael Moran Valverde” Private Educational Unit. The planning of activities are carried out based on the Initial Education Curriculum, each activity is designed with different exercises that will allow the development of brain skills, the significance of the game is estimated and it is based on the interests and capacities of children of 5 years.
